I’m Israeli, I’m a college student and I want to go on a vacation to Turkey with my older brother for a couple weeks. We have never been before, so I just want to ask is there anything to be concerned about and is it safe for Israelis to travel around in Turkey? Is there anything to avoid?

don’t be silly love, theres nothing to avoid.
in fact, during the holocaust Turkey along with the US was one of the countries that took jews and let them settle in different parts of Turkey.
there are thousands of jewish turks in turkey so don’t be scared. and just ignore th trolls here, we have no problem with Israelis or Jews, the only people we don’t like are Zionists and that’s a different matter.
but of course there are few odd that are just plain racist and anti-semitic, but then again don’t you get that in every race and ethnic background?

It depends,
many Turks have strong feelings of support for Palestine.
In fact, if you met me on the street, I wouldn’t immediately give you any SERIOUS problems but if i found out that you supported israel i would most likely just walk away from you to avoid becoming upset.
Not trying to be rude, just giving you my honest thoughts.

Don’t worry we don’t have any problems with the Israelis. I know there are many Israelis visiting Istanbul and Antalya.

There’s nothing to avoid. Turkey was one of the first countries to recognise the state of Israel. It is very safe.

I have a couple of Jewish friends in Istanbul who told me that they are very comfortable there. In fact, when their great grandparents fled Cordoba after being expelled by the Christian it was the Ottoman empire which readily accepted them and provided refuge.
I have been to Turkey many times and trust me, they are very humane people in spite of their defensiveness so you are bound to feel welcome there.
That said, Islamic fanaticism does exist in some remote areas in Turkey as is obvious from the news. I once attended a wedding at a synagoge in Istanbul and they had to block off the entire road because a madman once opened fire there and killed 29 people. I would advise you to keep a low profile about your Jewish identity in rural area.
